Sheet metal bending refers to the process of applying external force to bend and deform sheet metal materials along specific straight or curved lines, thereby changing their shape. The basic principle is to utilize the plastic deformation characteristics of materials. When external forces exceed the yield strength of the material, it will undergo permanent deformation. During the bending process, the outer fibers of the material are stretched, the inner fibers are compressed, and the length of the middle layer (neutral layer) remains basically unchanged
